How to request account deletion
You can request that we delete your VittaLekha account and all associated data at any time. To do so, send an email from the email address associated with your account to:
support@vittalekha.com
Use the subject line "Delete My Account" and include the email address you used to sign up so we can verify ownership.
What gets deleted
Upon verification, we will permanently delete the following within 30 days of your request:
• Your account profile (name, email, business details)
• All financial records you entered (sales, purchases, expenses, line items)
• All uploaded invoice and receipt images
• All contacts (customers and vendors) you added
• Chat history with the AI recordkeeping assistant
• Authentication credentials and session data
What may be retained
Certain data may be retained for a limited period after deletion only where required by law or for legitimate business needs:
• Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
• Records required to be retained for tax, accounting, or compliance obligations
• Backup snapshots, which are automatically purged within 30 days
No personal or financial data is shared with or sold to any third party at any point.
Before you delete
We recommend exporting your data before requesting deletion — once deleted, your records cannot be recovered. You can export all your data as CSV or Excel files from inside the app:

Cancelling subscriptions
If you have an active Basic or Pro subscription, deleting your VittaLekha account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. Please cancel your subscription separately through the Google Play Store:
Play Store app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → VittaLekha → Cancel subscription
Confirmation
Once deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation email at the address you contacted us from. If you have any questions about this process, contact us at support@vittalekha.com.
