These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VittaLekha mobile application and related services ("Service") provided by VittaLekha ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
VittaLekha is an AI-powered recordkeeping application designed for small business owners and self-employed individuals. The Service allows users to: • Record sales, purchases, and expenses. • Scan and extract data from invoices using AI. • Manage contacts and recurring transactions. • Generate financial reports and exports. • Chat with an AI recordkeeping assistant. The Service is provided as-is and is subject to change without prior notice.
To use VittaLekha, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account at support@vittalekha.com. You must not share your account with others or create accounts for third parties without their consent.
You agree to use VittaLekha only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not: • Use the Service to record, conceal, or facilitate any fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive financial activity. • Upload or scan documents you do not have the legal right to process. • Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the systems or data of other users. • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the application. • Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law.
VittaLekha is a recordkeeping tool — not a licensed financial advisor, accountant, auditor, or tax professional. • Information generated by the app (reports, summaries, calculations) is for reference purposes only and should not be treated as professional financial or tax advice. • AI-extracted data from invoices may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before saving. • You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your financial records and compliance with applicable tax laws. We recommend consulting a qualified accountant or tax advisor for professional financial guidance.
VittaLekha offers optional paid subscription plans (currently "Basic" and "Pro") alongside a free trial. • Free Trial: New accounts may receive a free trial. The features and length of the trial are shown within the app. Where a trial is offered through an app store, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. • Subscription Plans: Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis. The exact plan name, price (in your local currency), and billing period are clearly displayed on the purchase screen before you confirm any payment. • Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase. • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. • Managing & Cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then. • Refunds: Payments are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. We do not directly process refunds for app store purchases. • Price Changes: We may change subscription prices. Any change applies only to billing periods after the change and, where required, will be communicated to you in advance. All content, design, logos, code, and features of VittaLekha are the intellectual property of VittaLekha and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all financial data and records you enter into the application. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VittaLekha and its operators shall not be liable for any: • Loss of data, revenue, profit, or business opportunity. • Errors in AI-extracted financial data. • Decisions made based on reports or summaries generated by the app. • Unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials. • Service interruptions or downtime. Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if: • You violate any provision of these Terms. • We reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to other users or our systems. • You engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour. You may terminate your account at any time directly within the app from Business Settings > Delete Account. For your security, deletion requires two confirmations and re-entry of your password, and permanently erases your account and all associated data. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the application. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to appropriate legal proceedings in the jurisdiction applicable to your region.
